Charli XCX Embraces a Hell Version of Herself in Mockumentary Preview

Charli XCX is gearing up for a significant film appearance in 2026, kicking off with the mockumentary titled The Moment.

Throughout the movie, she plays what she describes as a dark version of her public image.

It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music business that I’ve ever seen, the performer commented.

She further explained in a discussion: It’s far from a live performance documentary, however the inspiration came from the expectation to produce one.

A Sneak Peek into The Moment

The initial preview, unveiled on recently, mixes authentic footage from her recent tour with fictionalized off-stage interactions.

The film is helmed and co-scripted by Aidan Zamiri, who revealed that the narrative revolves around a reality where the artist took completely different paths in the marketing of her smash hit album Brat.
